My Muslim Cat...
I looked into my cat's eyes and I knew...
He was intelligent, trustworthy too.
Loyal and devoted...without a doubt...
Curious, to what the fuss was about.
So, I thought I'de sit him down and explain...
All the knowledge, he had to learn and gain.
Then, I asked him...do you believe in God...
With questioning eyes, gave his head a nod.
This was a good start, I thought to myself
And went and got the Qu'ran off the shelf.
I said, Allaah wants you to be so true...
Worshipping and praying...this can you do?
My adorable cat, gave a meow...
Put his paw on the book...I thought what now.
But, thanks to Allaah's guidance and firm love...
The book opened to the Jinn, from above.
I read, Surah 46:29 to 32...
I looked at my cat, to see what he'de do.
Then, to my amazement and shocked surprise...
He was prostrating, with tears in his eyes.
Meowing and praying, it looked to me
Like he wanted Allaah and I to see.
So happy was I...to see my Muslim cat
To be worshipping and praying like that.
He looked at me, and then said...spread the word...
I've changed...I'll never kill another bird.
And know this, I'll go tell all of my friends
That Allaah's Grace and Mercy, never ends.
A humble servant, to Allaah, I'll be...
And a good example, the world will see.
Worshipping and praying, five times a day...
And then make sure to Mecca, I'll go stay.
Yes, this will all be so easy for me...
For Allaah's Noble Love has set me free
And his sweet love, just makes me want to cry...
Let's tell the whole world to give it a try.
As I stared in awe at my Muslim cat...
I thought...wonder if my kids can do that!
