Al Salaamu Alaykum, I reverted to Islam back in 2003 in Manchester, UK. I hail from a Middle Class Bengali Brahmin family from Kolkata. Although in the beginning I had plenty of problems from my parents and other family members (I don't have any brothers and sisters but other family members meaning uncles, aunts, cousins, etc.), they have mellowed down over the years. During the time of turmoil, I had to keep minimal communication with my parents and relatives. I had also married in Pakistan to an uneducated family. I was kind of tricked by an Imam in Manchester (at the very Masajid where I reverted) to marry into that family and I was mistreated there. Due to continuous humiliation from my ex father-in-law and 8 brothers-in-law, I had no choice but to pronounce divorce to my ex wife last year. My ex in-laws were interfering in my marriage life too many times. I had to put my foot down. In that process, I lost two children to my ex in-laws and now I am living on my own in Malaysia. I pray 5 times a day by the Grace of ALLAH. I am looking for a girl who can speak Bengali and preferably has some connections with Bengal (Kolkata would be ideal). The age range I am looking for is between 22 to 28. Also if she is well versed with the Bengali culture, that would be ideal. Of course, she must be a Muslim (a revert from Hinduism would be ideal) and a divorcee is also welcome. However, it would be preferable if she didn't have any children from her first marriage (in case we are talking about a divorcee) as I need to keep my aged parents happy too.
